After the race results were posted, the protest came in and the officials viewed the tape and ruled that I jumped the restart. When asked I admitted to it without hesitation, however, I explained Porter didn’t belong in front of me to begin with. The officials could not respond to that, only stated that the line up should have been questioned at the time. I went on to explain that we did have an official call in the error several times prior to the green, it’s unfortunately that I guess know body heard him. Porter was even honest enough to admit he did not pass me under the green. Porter also stated that JoJo had crossed the finish line prior to his car so USAC listed the final finish as JoJo, Porter then me. It’s my opinion that for the most part USAC does an excellent job, our technology has certainly progressed and it’s great that we have transponders to assist with the qualifying and scorekeeping. It is just unfortunate that we only rely on the transponder and when things are questioned during the event, we do not have an effective way to deal with them. The incorrect lineup on lap 85 had a major impact on our finish and that’s really too bad. I would like to thank Ken and Sharon Pierson for this great opportunity; I thoroughly enjoyed everything and learned a few things to take back to my car.

Hi everyone, I would like to thank all my friends and family who came out to support me our first race of the year at Roseville. There were so many people in the stands sporting around our racing shirts that even the announcer made comments. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to race in my home town and have the support of so many friendly faces, it was awesome and I truly appreciate it!
