Anderson, CA….. After a four-year absence, the USAC Western Sprints made their way back to Shasta Raceway Park. Shauna qualified 6th quick, she won her heat and had a hard fought battle in the main and ended up with a 2nd place finish. Shauna didn’t have the car to pressure Jojo Helberg for the win but she was strong enough to hold off two of the fastest drivers on the West Coast, Tanner Swanson and Tony Hunt.
After the race Shauna thanked all her family and friends who were there to support her. Shauna also wanted to express her appreciation to Pat Shaw for his sponsorship. At the beginning of the season the team knew they only had the funding to compete in a hand full of races, Pat’s support allowed Shauna and her team to add the next week’s event in Stockton, CA, to the schedule.
